Navigation of gantt chart should not change the way it is printed
Each time the Gantt chart of MS Project is zoomed in/out or navigated, the printed chart is modified, and the user needs to enter again all the data of the timescale, to be able to correctly print the Gantt char.
It makes nonsense, and is a huge problem. It should work like MS Word and Excel does. Navigation of the document should not change the way it is printed.
This poor programming belongs to beta level software, not a decades old commercial software.
It drives me nuts that I have to have a "print to pdf" program to be able to save a copy of a file that looks like the screen rendition. I should be able to do this straight from the Print button. Please MSP team, fix this??
Thanks for your answer.
Saving a view is a hack, not a solution. Just changing the monitor resolution, resizing or moving Project window to another monitor changes the way it is printed.
It is a basic feature of any software that the printed work is not dependent of the zoom lever or view of the document.
MS Project quality is amateur beta software.

If you like to keep your print output always looking the same, you can copy your gantt chart view into a new view, say "Print Gantt Chart" so that any navigational changes made to the gantt chart view do not affect your print view. For printing you could simply switch to your Print Gantt Chart view and print it.
I am sure there are users out there (like me) who like to be able to customize how the print looks and be able to print at different zoom level settings.
Hope this helps!
