How can we improve Project?

Send notifications ONLY for tasks that have changed

I'm using notifications to alert my team that they've been assigned a task. I have 400 tasks and a team of 30 people. Every time I publish, all 30 people get a notification about all of their assigned tasks, which is overwhelming them and now the notifications are useless. I'd prefer to have notifications sent only for tasks that have changed during the current session.

Agree. I recommend this to utilize the Microsoft Flow product, and not be baked into MS Project with no way to adjust. If this workflow notification came as a delivered MSoft Flow map, we could get a Flow license and edit the workflow, make changes, all using the MSoft Flow product. Right now we cannot even edit the message, much less manage the when it goes out.

I agree, as based on the notifications setting, it implies that you will only receive updates on the tasks that are modified. Setting on Manage My Alerts and Reminders page reads "My Project Tasks are Modified."

We have fixed this issue for Project Server by changing SQL stored procedure [draft].[MSP_Notification_GetUpdatedAssignments]
