  1. time line improvement ideas

    • In the time line, task names should be able to be called out (instead of the whole task)
    • In the time line, Milestones should be able to be dragged in the middle of the time line (not only top or bottom edge)
    • In the time line, Allow overlap between specific tasks (not the hole schedule)
    • In the time line, allow to cut the timeline in the middle and not only start or end. Usefull when a single tasks last long, but need to cut the middle to shorten the whole timeline duration.

  2. Can we get a command button for Unique ID like "go to"

    I like to use the "Go to" command button if your schedule was frozen. But I am constantly adding and deleting tasks and have trained to report against the Unique ID #. But the only way to get to a specific task is by filtering. It would be great to have a command button that would allow for this.

  3. Allow icons as drop down values so that it can be copied directly into a presentation rather than having to convert text to icons in ppt.

    We have RAG status in use for milestones and have chosen a manual approach to get subjective opinion of PMs as to their milestones status. Current solution is a Lookup and it converts the text to an icon (Red, Amber, Green, Blue circle). We have created views and reports for Milestones in MS project that we copy into PPT to use in presentations. When copied over of course we can only see the original text, not the icon itself, which forces us to spend extra time on converting text to icon in ppt. How can this be done differently? Can…

  6. Data warehouse implementation

    While working with multiple clients I received request to retrieve the information based on the changes performed by the users/PMs. As we cannot see any track record that who has performed what activity two days back what was the changes.

  7. WIle publsihing pop up comes up asking to create project site

    Project EPT is set to do not create site in project online. Whenever a project schedule is opened up for editing in Project Pro, while publishing the changes, A pop up comes up asking to create project site when it shouldn't. It comes up every time a project is published.

    Attached screenshot. Could you please assist.

    If we select create project site is publishes the project but no site is created as expected but next time it comes up again and do not create project site option on the pop up is always disabled.

  8. yes/no column set default value but not work

    hi,
    I want to create a yes/no column at TASK,and set default value as YES,but it's not work,as you can see,when I select the column,default value is NO.
    Is there something wrong with my operation?Please help me to check that,thanks a lot !

  13. Showing of inactive tasks in predecessor and successor lists during critical path analysis

    Items that are tagged as "inactive" should either be shown with strikethrough fonts in predecessor successor lists of active tasks, or not shown at all. Currently, it is very confusing to do critical path analysis with inactive tasks in the mix. Another option would be to have a switch setting for the file to inhibit the showing of inactive tasks in predecessor / successor lists.

  14. Make the spell checker dialog box scroll to matching sheet row cell

    When you use the spell checker, the dialog box opens on screen and ID's a mis-spelled word. But the sheet row cells remain static on screen. It doesn't automatically scroll down to the matching cell where the error is found. (As does other Office programs Excel, Word do.) So you can see the word in context without having to manually scroll to it. (MSP Pro 2016)

  17. Include custom, work and duration fields in the column choices for a project site task list

    I'd like my team to have a task view that shows them assignments and due dates, as well as items like Actual Work and Remaining Work. The work fields are not available on the out of the box task list that is generated when publishing to a project site. It would be helpful to also include custom fields and duration fields.

  18. In the Project Center views the associated Sharepoint sites can be displayed.

    In the Project Center views the associated Sharepoint sites can be displayed.
    You can create views of the Project Center where you can add a field with the URL and the link to the Sharepoint site associated with the corresponding project. In this way you can create views to easily identify and filter the sites to which we want to access.

  19. Sum value is not displaying on the Sharepoint list with advanced feature

    I tried enabling display sum value for the custom list for the manual entry number type fields but the Sum values are not showing up on the list with new feature. But I can see them when changed back to the classic experience. May I know Is this a product issue? or do I need make any changes to see the Sum value with advanced feature?

    If a user has been acting as a delegate for a prolonged period of time (say 12 hours), the system should automatically close that delegate session. If the delegate session remains and the delegated resource is inactivated, the user who is acting as a delegate loses access to PjO until that delegated resource is reactivated.
