Allow multiple team resources to apply for a task that has been assigned to a team resource (allow 1:n replacement for team resources)
-Unknown team members due to team size and/or existence of subteams
-Use of a resource dispatcher role, that does only resource assignments but no planning activities on the schedule
-Administrative projects for illness and Training
-Planning of skills for work package activities, that can be executed by anyone of the (project) team later on --> agile approach
Team resource improvements allowing for this scenario should now be rolled out to all tenants!

Hi Trutz-Sebastian and Project Team,
Is the "allow team task to be assigned to the team assignment pool and multiple team members" functionality available in MS Project Server 2013?
Trutz-Sebastian discussed how to activate the functionality but I don't see it in the 2013 version of the MS Project Server.

David - we are working on documentation and I hope to have a blog out either just before or after the Thanksgiving break. We are also looking to see how we dropped the ball on having this ready before release.

Hi Alex and Project Team,
Cool, that it's live. I agree with David's comment on documentation. At least we found out where to activate the new feature: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Project/New-Feature-available-Team-resources-replacable-by-multiple/m-p/29942#M64

Hi Project Team,
It's always good to hear of progress and improvements like this one. Especially when they are addressing areas of functionality that were very originally quite limited in their previous form.
But can you please issue some supporting documentation, or blog article or about this kind of change? (And preferably in advance of it rolling out to tenants...) The documentation needs to cover what has changed, and exactly what scenarios are supported
Resources our Team should have skills / abilities.
Assignments are (most of the time) driven by the availability and the skills of resources.
1. Who can do it ? (skills)
2. Is She/He available ? (load)
3. Can I optimize my resources skill / load plan
If resources our group of resources have skills list embedded then project could suggest the best way to assign it when leveling.
As well as let the project manager define skills required to accomplish a task.
It could work well at the team level (wich is group of resources and so.. group of skills)
My two cents (Sorry for my **** english...)
This will finally make Project THE PPM killer application. Hopefully team tasks will then directly be synced to Planner where the team can further break down a Project task and report back the overall status. Thanks a lot to Trutz-Sebastian Stephani for sharing this idea and the MS team for starting the development.
