Project Online an VSTS integration for Agile
Long awaited integration between Project Online and VSTS. Would be good to have a story around agile frameworks like SAFe.
We’re looking into how to bring Microsoft products together even more, so your feedback is appreciated! We’d love to hear how you would use Project and VSTS together. What would you expect in a Project and VSTS integration? How do you currently use the two separately?
I could see a situation where Project online is used together with VTST/Azure Devops in a SAFe scenario where Project Online is used for the portfolio level. The integration between the two should/could be similar to the integration with planner, so different combi;s can be used for teams that work in a conventional way and teams that work agile

You might want to check OneConnect for Project Online and VSTS It allows you to sync Project Online and VSTS (Azure DevOps) - https://www.project-online.com/agile-ppm/
Great idea. I support too.

At project side we have overall project management and compose main tasks, while in vsts we'd like to transform these tasks to user stories, to decompose it and work with detailed features on tactic layer.
Being able to have 2 way sync between Project Client and VSTS is a must.
Some way to comment on tasks and see other comments in Project Client is also essential.
Also, please make Calendar View in Project Client identical to Outlook. Inability to drag items around calendar is puzzling at the least.
well if you could join the data together through odata that's a start...

@J (MSFT), we currently do long-term roadmapping of project work in Excel, after constructing a product backlog in VSTS, because of lack of other meaningful useful tools that integrate with VSTS. Our team would use this integration to pull stories (based on a query) and associate a matrix of effort forecasts with each story's story points. The integration should be capable of both reading and writing predecessor/successor relationships, which is a task that VSTS makes very difficult today. With the combination of calculating effort estimates against query-defined story subsets in VSTS and the ease of editing that Project provides for story dependencies, we would be able to use Project to 1) calculate the critical path duration for a given roadmap and 2) calculate the resources required, by month, to complete that roadmap. This would be *wonderful* for our custom AppDev practice.
Since Project 2016 has a ton of new Agile features (Scrum Project, Kanban, etc...) I'm puzzled by the lack of native integration/sync between the 2 MS platforms. It sure helps Atlassian to take over the market...

It would also be great to have integration with JIRA
