Inactivating a user in AD does not inactivate the resource in Project Online - sync does not inactivate
Please fix the AD sync issue we logged with support. We have an AD group that syncs with the Enterprise Resource Pool. When inactivating users in AD the sync does not inactivate them in Project Online. It works for on premise Project Server but not in Project Online. Customers are not happy since Project Managers are no longer alerted that they have inactive resources assigned to tasks in their projects. Admins do not always know who has left. This is now an extra manual step for them.
Very usable feature
I agree with all the comments, also would like to add one more requirement related to this:
After inactivating a user, we also need to automatically update the "Latest Available" date of the inactivated resource with the inactivation date. Otherwise, the inactivated resource capacity will not be removed from capacity views and reports.
This needs to be fixed for several reasons. It is now a manual and time consuming task for two teams to coordinate the inactivation. not a good use of manpower. very surprised at the functionality being removed in Project Online. Doesn't make sense

This is very important feature. Customer who used this product in on-prem definitely will expect the same functionality in online. When they delete the account in AD, the next sync should inactivate the account automatically in PWA instance.
As we expand to other State Agencies, I have no idea what resources are coming and going. As far as I can tell, I can't even find a field to write a report for active resources that are not in AD.

Completely agree. Activating an in-active resource from the PO resource pool while becoming an active user (for example re-hiring an external resource) in the AD does work, so why not the other way around?

This is very critical, in large organizations as users exit and their AD account gets deactivated, project managers must get an alert of such resources.
