Two way integration with microsoft planner and Microsoft projects
Have full in depth integration between microsoft planned and Project to ensure the reach is greater and not limitted to the Project environment, Ideally it should also link to PWA and the full Microsoft Projects.
950 votesHi everyone – thanks for the feedback so far. In regards to Planner & Project for the web, we are definitely listening to these scenarios and thinking about how to improve them!
Would helping import from Planner to Project be helpful in this case, and enabling teams to work in Project?
I read a lot of comments on making sure we can leverage full Planner capabilities in Project, team members being able to see and complete their task, and not wanting to “re-write” and “move” tasks over. Are these the most important scenarios for us when thinking about this area?

Project for the web: Add existing Planner capabilities (e.g. document attachments, checklists, priority)
Add existing Planner capabilities to the task details of Project for the Web (e.g. document attachments, checklists, priority, comments). Also @mentioning as new feature would be great.
575 votesHi everyone!
We really appreciate your feedback about this topic.
Everyone now has the ability to add attachments to tasks in Project for the web!
We are also looking into bringing other Planner features into Project for the web. Please keep letting us know what you would like to see.

Thank you for your feedback here. We are in the process of rolling out the ability to export your Project to Microsoft Excel.
This feature should be available to everyone by the end of this week.

Custom fields in “Project for the Web”
Custom fields in newly released “Project for the Web” at both project level and task level.
491 votesYou can now create local custom fields for your tasks!
Under the “Add Column” button in the grid, you’ll find a new menu option to create a New Field. Click it!
- Add dates, numbers, text, and flags to help you organize your work
-Filter tasks by the contents of your fields
-If you have limited screen real estate, edit the values for fields in the task details paneLearn more here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project-blog/announcing-custom-fields-for-your-tasks/ba-p/1680549

Import mpp file into MS project Web
It would be great to have a Button to Import mpp file into MS project Web.
We usually use MS Project client (mpp file) to plan and monitor the project, and we can't even copy and paste MS fields to MS project web or upload the file directly. We have to replicate everything we have on the MS project Client by hand to MS project Web! That doesn't make sense at all!431 votesHi everyone!
Thank you for your feedback. For now, you can use an API through Powershell to import .mpp files in Project for the web. You can learn more here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project-blog/import-project-desktop-files-to-project-for-the-web-api/ba-p/2031298
We are also looking into other ways to support import. Stay tuned for future updates.

Teams Integration
Similar to Planner's integration. Having a site part that points is not good enough.
396 votesYou can now add a Project or Roadmap as a tab in Teams! In your Teams channel, click the ‘Add a Tab’ button and search for Project or Roadmap. You can add an existing project or create a new one specifically for your team!

Guest access to projects
Often there are external users from customers or freelance involved which should have access to a project or roadmap as well without the need of having a project license. This is possible in other project management solutions!
373 votesHi everyone!
I have read through the comments, and we have a new update that may benefit some on this thread.
We have just announced that we are supporting read-only access for Projects & Roadmaps with an O365 license within a tenant. You can learn more here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/project-for-the-web/office-365-user-view-access-to-project-and-roadmap

Add templates to project for the web
When creating a new project we don't want to start from scratch each time. We should be able to select a type of project (or an existing one) and use that as a starting point.
370 votesHi everyone!
I’m updating this to “partially complete” as we have finished rolling out the “Copy Project” feature. You can access this by opening a project, clicking on the title to open the details pane, hitting the “…” in the top corner, and then the Copy command.
You can get more details, tips and tricks here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project-blog/copying-projects-in-project-for-the-web/ba-p/1477766
We’re still thinking about the specific templates scenario and reading your comments below. Please try the feature out and let us know what other feedback/improvements can be made.

Resource Management
We need to be able to plan resources within project for the web and the ability to get an overview over all projects in our portfolio including a view if someone is overbooked etc.
307 votesHi everyone!
This is something we’re thinking about – but we’d love more feedback from you.
Can you share specific scenarios that you need for resourcing? What information do you need to be successful? What actions do you take as a result of this information?
Please share detailed scenarios for us to understand what you need, this will be very helpful to us as we improve Project!

Similar to Planner's.

Manual mode tasks
Please allow tasks to be scheduled in “manual mode” allowing for Project Managers to define start and finish date without auto calculating the effort.
275 votesHi all!
For all new projects, you are now able to set Effort and Duration independently of each other for tasks with assignments. When Effort is set, Duration will not change.

Project for the Web is not available for Education customers.
Not including Education customers who have A3/5 or Project-specific SKUs for Project for the Web is a big miss. Aside from cost, what are the barriers for switching this on for Education?
262 votesHi everyone – we announced Project for the web being available for EDU a few weeks ago. The plans you’ll need to access it are as follows:
• Project Plan 3 for students
• Project Plan 3 for faculty
• Project Plan 5 for students
• Project Plan 5 for facultyHope this helps!

Saving Baseline (Project for the Web)
One of the biggest advantages of the MS Project (and Project Online) to the other compactor products in web based platforms is the possibility of having Baselines. Without a Baseline controlling the plan and having Planned vs Actual stats wouldn't be easy.
Please add the option of saving baseline on any given status of the plan without overwriting them so w can compare current status with multiple baselines.261 votesHi everyone!
Thanks for the feedback on baselines. I’d love to hear more, and get a discussion going to understand the needs and usage here.
What’s the most important set of information in a baseline? How often do you take baselines? How often do you compare baselines?
For those of you who have not previously used the desktop client or Project Online, how have you been tracking baselines on your projects?
Thanks!

Project for the web: Change licensing to allow for extensibility at a sensible price
Currently extending Project for the Web with the Power Platform requires a Project Plan P3/P5 subscription. This very expensive given that you already have to pay for a PowerApps subscription as well. This is especially drastic if you need to provide access for team members. Their numbers are normally much higher than the PMs.
200 votesHello everyone!
Thanks for your feedback! You can now customize and extend the Project app without purchasing additional Power Apps licenses, making it easier for your organization to tailor Project Plan 5, Project Plan 3, and Project Plan 1 to meet your business needs.

The ability to import tasks from an excel sheet would help a lot.

Edit Project for web schedule in Project Desktop app
It would be useful to enable editing project schedule in Project for web via Project Desktop app.
153 votesHi everyone!
I’d like to understand why you need to edit the schedule in the desktop app, versus just in the web? What key components can be improved for you to work in the web, without needing the client?
If we provided an import from .mpp to the web, would you be able to be successful managing your project in the web? If no, why not?
Thank you! We love hearing your feedback.

Make Project on the Web available in new Environments
Power Platform supports multiple environments (Automate and Apps). It should be possible to have a separate Project environment also. The default environment is not enough for global organizations and multiple, different entities. Make it possible to create Project environments just like Automate (Microsoft Flow) and Power Apps.
129 votesWe’re working on it!
By March of next year, you will be able to deploy Project for the web to different environments. Thank you all for submitting this idea to User Voice and voting on it!
Here’s the official update to the M365 roadmap. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20Project%2CIn%20development

Agile boards
The new agile features added to Project are good for planning. Key aspect of agile is communication in teammembers, so access to the plan/boards for team is very important.
It can be sufficient just display the boards in project site or in PWA.128 votesHi everyone!
We’ve heard your ask for boards, and we understand that its an important way to work.
We just launched the new Project, with a redesigned user experience that is simple and intuitive. Teams can quickly add new members and set up tasks, and then easily switch between grids, boards, or timeline (Gantt) charts to track progress.

Notifications
In the new Project for Web, allow users to customize email notifications about tasks which are assigned to them, have been updated, etc. Does not seem to be an option to do so, and it's critical for my team to be notified about their tasks.
122 votesWe are starting work to enable native notifications in Project for the web. We will share updates as we have them.
You can also set up customized notifications through flows in Power Automate. We have published two templates you can use, and customize You can learn about them here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project-blog/new-flow-templates-for-project-for-the-web/ba-p/1384140

Tasks with cost resource MUST be calculated in BCWS column in Project Desktop.
BCWS column calculate values from tasks that has work and material resources, but ignore cost resources in the calculation. This is wrong and make a distortion in Earned Value results (BCWP column).
Please, solve this error making BCWS column calculate cost resources in the tasks as well.
