There is no indication if someone else is changing my project or has changed it. Hard to track, seems basic for management tools
Please add it122 votes
We started using it to try within our team, but it doesn't sync as other office products. If 2 of us are using, we have to ask for refresh.
Also it keeps saying every now and then to refresh.
Can you fix it, or is this still work in progress123 votes

I have no idea, what happened but multiple rows are lost in my project113 votes
We started trying project app in teams. The experience doesn't seem to be ready for active collaboration. Few examples are like other users are not known, you cant chat in project context, if others are not online then its confusing.
Please fix this to complete project app in teams with collaboration.96 votes
In project for web, one hand things are made easier as compared to project online, on other essential asks like reporting and managing portfolios is not handled in same respect.
we have to essentially found power platform experienced folks to get in to achieve this.
Is this something which Microsoft is trying to also ease out?89 votes
BCWS column calculate values from tasks that has work and material resources, but ignore cost resources in the calculation. This is wrong and make a distortion in Earned Value results (BCWP column).
Please, solve this error making BCWS column calculate cost resources in the tasks as well.121 votes
If I add a Planner Tab, it shows up in Dark Mode. If I add a Project Tab, the contents have a white background. I would like to see Project integrated into the Dark Mode settings of Teams. Thanks!82 votes
The date format (e.g. dd-mm-yyyy instead of mm-dd-yyyy) set in the general preferences should also be valid for the dates set for tasks within Project. From what I can see the date format for tasks are always mm-dd-yyyy which is annoying.51 votes
The ability to import tasks from an excel sheet would help a lot.194 votes
Have full in depth integration between microsoft planned and Project to ensure the reach is greater and not limitted to the Project environment, Ideally it should also link to PWA and the full Microsoft Projects.1,057 votes
Hi everyone – thanks for the feedback so far. In regards to Planner & Project for the web, we are definitely listening to these scenarios and thinking about how to improve them!
Would helping import from Planner to Project be helpful in this case, and enabling teams to work in Project?
I read a lot of comments on making sure we can leverage full Planner capabilities in Project, team members being able to see and complete their task, and not wanting to “re-write” and “move” tasks over. Are these the most important scenarios for us when thinking about this area?
Common provision in project management solutions , is to just get them quickly started. And some of them have really meaningful usage and get us started. This is something i have seen Microsoft provide in various apps, so can project for web also add it?47 votes
Teams integration seems incomplete without having guest access, notification and support in private channels. I see the old request has been marked completed and closed, can you share plan for these also, or atleast mark original as partially completed62 votes
As a project manager I work with my crew of 15-20 folks. We use MS teams and office 265 for all our collaboration purpose and documentation within our company. I recently learnt about Microsoft new project management app on teams. Its good to see it being simple, but its just not ready for teams. When we have feature crew working together it becomes hard to understand changes happening and the changes just become slow to reflect. Can this be fixed?
I have seen similar slowness in PowerPoint, however excel looks great in this regard.40 votes
Project for the web: Add existing Planner capabilities (e.g. document attachments, checklists, priority)
Add existing Planner capabilities to the task details of Project for the Web (e.g. document attachments, checklists, priority, comments). Also @mentioning as new feature would be great.605 votes
We really appreciate your feedback about this topic.
Everyone now has the ability to add attachments to tasks in Project for the web!
We are also looking into bringing other Planner features into Project for the web. Please keep letting us know what you would like to see.
Please add lags and leads functionality to the tasks dependencies
Can't create a schedule in Project for the Web71 votes
It would be great to have a Button to Import mpp file into MS project Web.
We usually use MS Project client (mpp file) to plan and monitor the project, and we can't even copy and paste MS fields to MS project web or upload the file directly. We have to replicate everything we have on the MS project Client by hand to MS project Web! That doesn't make sense at all!446 votes
Thank you for your feedback. For now, you can use an API through Powershell to import .mpp files in Project for the web. You can learn more here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project-blog/import-project-desktop-files-to-project-for-the-web-api/ba-p/2031298
We are also looking into other ways to support import. Stay tuned for future updates.
Custom fields in newly released “Project for the Web” at both project level and task level.499 votes
You can now create local custom fields for your tasks!
Under the “Add Column” button in the grid, you’ll find a new menu option to create a New Field. Click it!
- Add dates, numbers, text, and flags to help you organize your work
-Filter tasks by the contents of your fields
-If you have limited screen real estate, edit the values for fields in the task details pane
Not including Education customers who have A3/5 or Project-specific SKUs for Project for the Web is a big miss. Aside from cost, what are the barriers for switching this on for Education?262 votes
Hi everyone – we announced Project for the web being available for EDU a few weeks ago. The plans you’ll need to access it are as follows:
• Project Plan 3 for students
• Project Plan 3 for faculty
• Project Plan 5 for students
• Project Plan 5 for faculty
Hope this helps!
Often there are external users from customers or freelance involved which should have access to a project or roadmap as well without the need of having a project license. This is possible in other project management solutions!410 votes
I have read through the comments, and we have a new update that may benefit some on this thread.
We have just announced that we are supporting read-only access for Projects & Roadmaps with an O365 license within a tenant.
- Don't see your idea?
