  1. Add templates to project for the web

When creating a new project we don't want to start from scratch each time. We should be able to select a type of project (or an existing one) and use that as a starting point.

  3. Project for the web: Change licensing to allow for extensibility at a sensible price

Currently extending Project for the Web with the Power Platform requires a Project Plan P3/P5 subscription. This very expensive given that you already have to pay for a PowerApps subscription as well. This is especially drastic if you need to provide access for team members. Their numbers are normally much higher than the PMs.

  4. Allow better Extensibility in the CDS

Allow programatic editing of the entities for Project for the web. Such as editing all Project/Task fields, creating new Tasks, Assigning Resources to tasks, etc.

This will enable users and Partners to extend the Project For the Web platform and integrate with other applications.

  5. Update Icon for Project

Although it is more of a cosmetic improvement, updating the Project icon to the new modern look would go a long way to help reinforce that Project is still moving forward just like the rest of the O365 apps and not stuck in some forgotten junk pile.

Heck, even Planner has a new icon!

I have enclosed a sample of new Project icons for your consideration. Please vote and post which icon you prefer.

This is simple and easy fix and shows that you care about Project that is extensively used by PM community.

  6. Resource Management

We need to be able to plan resources within project for the web and the ability to get an overview over all projects in our portfolio including a view if someone is overbooked etc.

  7. Project for the web: Add existing Planner capabilities (e.g. document attachments, checklists, priority)

Add existing Planner capabilities to the task details of Project for the Web (e.g. document attachments, checklists, priority, comments). Also @mentioning as new feature would be great.

  8. Edit Project for web schedule in Project Desktop app

It would be useful to enable editing project schedule in Project for web via Project Desktop app.

  9. Teams Integration

Similar to Planner's integration. Having a site part that points is not good enough.

  10. Import mpp file into MS project Web

It would be great to have a Button to Import mpp file into MS project Web.
We usually use MS Project client (mpp file) to plan and monitor the project, and we can't even copy and paste MS fields to MS project web or upload the file directly. We have to replicate everything we have on the MS project Client by hand to MS project Web! That doesn't make sense at all!

  12. Project for the Web: Import/export function for MPP files

It would help if there would be at least an import/export function for MPP files to give accidental PMs the option to send their schedule to a customer and also to pick up on work that started in the Project client

  13. Two way integration with microsoft planner and Microsoft projects

Have full in depth integration between microsoft planned and Project to ensure the reach is greater and not limitted to the Project environment, Ideally it should also link to PWA and the full Microsoft Projects.

  14. Roadmap export

I'd like the ability to export or print a roadmap to PDF to make it easier to share for status reporting with non-Project users.

Hi everyone! Thanks for the feedback again.

I’ve broken this down into two general scenario requests and have some more questions.

Scenario 1) I want to share my Roadmap with a stakeholder but I don’t want them to have editing capabilities, or they might not even have a Project license. Follow ups – is this RO stakeholder a part of the team/group in the Roadmap?

Scenario 2) I want to export or print to share or present the Roadmap with (possibly outside) stakeholders (whether this is in PPT presentation or a physical printout). Follow ups – why not screenshot the view and put it in PPT or then print?

Thanks for your inputs!! We’re listening and thinking hard about your scenarios.

  15. Project for the web: Allow updating the Tasks entity via Flow to enable integration with business processes

Currently the Task entity in CDS is locked. Allow updating the Tasks entity via Flow to enable integration with business processes. Also adding additional fields to type the activities in the schedule, would be helpful.

  16. Add a full Power Platform connector for project for the web

I would like to be able to have a flow that marks a task as complete when a deliverable is approved for example.

  17. Roadmap allow zooming to quarters and years.

Roadmap zoom should be allow to zoom down to quarters or years. This would allow viewing Roadmaps that are many years in the planning.

  18. Saving Baseline (Project for the Web)

One of the biggest advantages of the MS Project (and Project Online) to the other compactor products in web based platforms is the possibility of having Baselines. Without a Baseline controlling the plan and having Planned vs Actual stats wouldn't be easy.
Please add the option of saving baseline on any given status of the plan without overwriting them so w can compare current status with multiple baselines.

  19. Check Out/Publish vs Live Project Updates in New Project

This is less of a suggestion but more of a clarification request. With this new Project product, the planning methodology seems to have fundamentally shifted from a 'check out file, make/test schedule changes, and publish' to a more 'live planning' approach where any changes are pushed instantly. There are still some businesses that do not plan in this way and are more sensitive to changes in dates, especially when automation (e.g. email/push notifications) are applied to the schedule. How does Microsoft plan to accommodate for organizations who may not want all of their planning to be published in real-time?

  20. Allow directly adding project team members without Office 365 Group (in Project for the web)

Allow directly adding project team members without Office 365 Group (in Project for the web). Similar to the "modern workplace" in Power BI, please allow adding multiple individual users or Office 365 Groups to a project as members.
