We started using it to try within our team, but it doesn't sync as other office products. If 2 of us are using, we have to ask for refresh.
Also it keeps saying every now and then to refresh.

There is no indication if someone else is changing my project or has changed it. Hard to track, seems basic for management tools

In project for web, one hand things are made easier as compared to project online, on other essential asks like reporting and managing portfolios is not handled in same respect.
we have to essentially found power platform experienced folks to get in to achieve this.

We started trying project app in teams. The experience doesn't seem to be ready for active collaboration. Few examples are like other users are not known, you cant chat in project context, if others are not online then its confusing.

If I add a Planner Tab, it shows up in Dark Mode. If I add a Project Tab, the contents have a white background. I would like to see Project integrated into the Dark Mode settings of Teams. Thanks!124 votes
Common provision in project management solutions , is to just get them quickly started. And some of them have really meaningful usage and get us started. This is something i have seen Microsoft provide in various apps, so can project for web also add it?86 votes
Teams integration seems incomplete without having guest access, notification and support in private channels. I see the old request has been marked completed and closed, can you share plan for these also, or atleast mark original as partially completed101 votes
As a project manager I work with my crew of 15-20 folks. We use MS teams and office 265 for all our collaboration purpose and documentation within our company. I recently learnt about Microsoft new project management app on teams. Its good to see it being simple, but its just not ready for teams. When we have feature crew working together it becomes hard to understand changes happening and the changes just become slow to reflect. Can this be fixed?

BCWS column calculate values from tasks that has work and material resources, but ignore cost resources in the calculation. This is wrong and make a distortion in Earned Value results (BCWP column).

The date format (e.g. dd-mm-yyyy instead of mm-dd-yyyy) set in the general preferences should also be valid for the dates set for tasks within Project. From what I can see the date format for tasks are always mm-dd-yyyy which is annoying.65 votes

Hi everyone – thanks for the feedback so far. In regards to Planner & Project for the web, we are definitely listening to these scenarios and thinking about how to improve them!
Would helping import from Planner to Project be helpful in this case, and enabling teams to work in Project?
I read a lot of comments on making sure we can leverage full Planner capabilities in Project, team members being able to see and complete their task, and not wanting to “re-write” and “move” tasks over. Are these the most important scenarios for us when thinking about this area?
The ability to import tasks from an excel sheet would help a lot.235 votes

There are some strategic projects that do not require the power of MS Project. However, they should be included in the portfolio for reporting purposes. Ultimately, the portfolio would be dynamic if we were using PowerBI and a flag would be used to determine which projects should be included.

Newly launched custom fields are local to project and not available in PowerBI reports or in PowerApps built on Project for the web.
Having the custom fields visible within Power BI would allow for more advanced filtering / sorting - which right now requires creating either separate projects, or a separate linked metadata table. With the custom fields, it would be easier to relate tasks to other data sources / and collapse the number of projects.54 votes
