Not including Education customers who have A3/5 or Project-specific SKUs for Project for the Web is a big miss. Aside from cost, what are the barriers for switching this on for Education?262 votes
Hi everyone – we announced Project for the web being available for EDU a few weeks ago. The plans you’ll need to access it are as follows:
• Project Plan 3 for students
• Project Plan 3 for faculty
• Project Plan 5 for students
• Project Plan 5 for faculty
Hope this helps!
Similar to Planner's integration. Having a site part that points is not good enough.411 votes
You can now add a Project or Roadmap as a tab in Teams! In your Teams channel, click the ‘Add a Tab’ button and search for Project or Roadmap. You can add an existing project or create a new one specifically for your team!Learn more here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/use-the-project-or-roadmap-app-in-teams-2dc584e6-2f6c-4e2d-9008-0b3f6845eb52?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US
Please allow tasks to be scheduled in “manual mode” allowing for Project Managers to define start and finish date without auto calculating the effort.280 votes
For all new projects, you are now able to set Effort and Duration independently of each other for tasks with assignments. When Effort is set, Duration will not change.
Currently extending Project for the Web with the Power Platform requires a Project Plan P3/P5 subscription. This very expensive given that you already have to pay for a PowerApps subscription as well. This is especially drastic if you need to provide access for team members. Their numbers are normally much higher than the PMs.201 votes
Thanks for your feedback! You can now customize and extend the Project app without purchasing additional Power Apps licenses, making it easier for your organization to tailor Project Plan 5, Project Plan 3, and Project Plan 1 to meet your business needs.
Read more about this on our blog: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project-blog/customizing-and-extending-the-project-app-just-became-more/ba-p/1878008
Power Platform supports multiple environments (Automate and Apps). It should be possible to have a separate Project environment also. The default environment is not enough for global organizations and multiple, different entities. Make it possible to create Project environments just like Automate (Microsoft Flow) and Power Apps.133 votes
Users can now deploy Project for the web to different environments. Check out this article to learn more: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/project-for-the-web/deploying-project
Let us know what you think! We’d love to hear your feedback about this new experience.
I'm at a conference, and customers are interested in Project for the web. However, they are adamant that it have both (a) templates for starting projects, and (b) the ability to copy an existing project to a new one. With those features, they may be interested in trying it.87 votes
You can now access “Copy Project” by going into a project, clicking on the title to open the details pane, hitting the “…” in the top corner, and then the Copy command.

We need the ability to add attachments to a task/subtask and a project in general. Same functionality as in Planner. Ideally we can add attachments from anywhere in SharePoint across multiple teams.
Thanks so much for your feedback. I’m happy to announce you can now add attachments to your tasks in Project!
You can use this new feature by opening your task details in Project. The add attachment button is available at the bottom of that pane.
Please let us know what you think of this new feature!

Thank you for your feedback on this feature!
Export Timeline to PDF is now available to all Project for the web users. You can export your timeline by going to the Timeline tab and clicking on the ‘…’ menu in the top right corner. This menu has an option to export your timeline.
We would love to hear what you think about this new feature!
I am on Projects Plan 1. There needs to be a method of either creating templates or to copy an already made plan. My projects use the same flow/plan layout often and being able to duplicate plans would allow me to keep using this online program.1 vote
Hi! You can copy plans today – learn more here:
Under the Board view add "Assigned to" under Group by - just like in Planner which uses the same board framework.22 votes
We’re excited to announce that this feature has been rolled out! You can now go to the Task Board view, and go to Group By > Assignee and see who’s assigned to what across your project.
Add a connector in Teams to lez us show a roamap as a tab in a teams channel249 votes
This is now available. To use, search for the Roadmap app in Teams. We also have a Project app for viewing the project schedule. All Office 365 users will have read-only access to any project/roadmap shared with them so add your project/roadmap to Teams to help the team collaborate.
Roadmap zoom should be allow to zoom down to quarters or years. This would allow viewing Roadmaps that are many years in the planning.166 votes
Today, we added improved Roadmap zooming! If you go to your Roadmap, you’ll be able to zoom out to multiple stops and views, and as far out as 6 years!
Thank you for everyone who shared their feedback and scenarios – please let us know what you think.
When adding items to a row, Roadmap does not allow adding project summary row. This would be good feature because Roadmap can show start and end of project.66 votes
Hi all -
You can now add the PWA project summary task in the Roadmap UI and its dates will stay updated. Note that this works with only new PWA connections to Roadmap.
Thanks for the feedback!
In timeline view, add a button to scroll to 'Today'4 votes
You can now use the “Go to Date” button in Timeline to scroll to today’s date.
The new agile features added to Project are good for planning. Key aspect of agile is communication in teammembers, so access to the plan/boards for team is very important.
It can be sufficient just display the boards in project site or in PWA.130 votes
We’ve heard your ask for boards, and we understand that its an important way to work.
We just launched the new Project, with a redesigned user experience that is simple and intuitive. Teams can quickly add new members and set up tasks, and then easily switch between grids, boards, or timeline (Gantt) charts to track progress.
Thanks all, please continue to share your feedback!
