Planner in Roadmap
Project Roadmap allows portfolio managers to bring in key tasks from Azure Boards and Projects in PWA.
Planner is used for small, ongoing projects. Please include support to add tasks from Planner to Roadmap as this gives Portfolio managers a better view of all key information in a single screen

Hi all!
We’d love to hear more about using Planner in Roadmap. Would you connect multiple Plans together in one Roadmap? As a portfolio manager, would you bring in both Planner tasks and Project tasks in one Roadmap? What type of Planner tasks would you bring into this view? What else would you expect?
Please share any details and feedback around this – we love hearing your thoughts!

Connecting to a planner would work the same as connecting to a project.
Attach the plan. Search for tasks in the current plan to add to the timeline.Because the Roadmap and planner are both accessible through CDS the only real thing holding this back is having the right connection type to reference.

Hello! The above idea would be a great solution. We currently use Microsoft Planner a LOT and we have categorized our plans based on the different departments of the company. As a project manager i would like to see a view of all the Plans (departements) that im interested in a common calendar --> e.g. roadmap.

This idea is better than connecting project plan tasks with planner. Bring multiple planners together with project in one Roadmap. All Date based tasked of planner should be usable in the Roadmap.

Having different teams working in Teams and using planner, the possibility to adde mulitple plans from multiple Teams/groups would give us a way to mange the big picture. I believe that this feature would open up Project as an useful tool to a lot of managers and teamleders in organizations that don't use Project extensively today, but use planner.

For this suggestion I agree it would be good to be able to bring different streams into one roadmap i.e. Developers working in the Azure DevOps space PMs from the MS Project space with feeds in from Planner from a day to day task basis from none Dev areas of business so you have an overall feel for what and where rather than everything being locked away in MS Project everyone can see the Roadmap for delivery.
