Task assignment notifications in teams
As in Planner it would be very useful if an assignee gets a notification right within Microsoft Teams when a task has been assigned. And also important, the ability to get notifications in Teams only and optional also as an e-mail.

Agree, this can’t be hard to add!!
Come on Microsoft you nearly have a good product!!

Surely this can't be that hard to do? Most of what's needed to make this happen is already in Teams (e.g. anyone assigned a task is added to the Team if not already a member), so sending a notification is the obvious next step.
This is super important
Is there any date when this is done?
Are there any alternative tools that have alll what Microsoft projects has but added this function? It is really important and can't work without this

It's a feature that is availble in Tasks and other concurrent applications, it has became mandatory for our organisation.
it must be implemented, we need this feature :)
Honestly, I can't believe that not having automatic notification is a thing. It should be a default as standard. Like in Planner.
Notifications should be sent to the task owner(s) when tasks are created and changed.
People should be able to tweak the frequency (immediately, daily summary etc)
When a task owner modifies a task, the project manager should get a notification as well.
Immediate notifications should be in Teams, perhaps with @mentions, daily notifications at least by mail as well
Notifications associated with assigned tasks as a notification in Teams (ideally also to integrate with To-Do)

I've been looking for this! With the project resources having a lot in their plates, task assignment notifications would really be helpful to keep the team reminded of what they need to do, and if their tasks are already near due date.
Please develop and implement this, Microsoft! :)

Yes, this would be a great feature. A notification in Teams and/or and email notifying assignee of a task due.

Agreed - If I could manage a project in Project, but assignees could receive, update, and complete tasks in teams (ie in Planner), that would be ideal.
