Ability to add attachments to a taks / subtask / project
We need the ability to add attachments to a task/subtask and a project in general. Same functionality as in Planner. Ideally we can add attachments from anywhere in SharePoint across multiple teams.
Thanks so much for your feedback. I’m happy to announce you can now add attachments to your tasks in Project!
You can use this new feature by opening your task details in Project. The add attachment button is available at the bottom of that pane.
Please let us know what you think of this new feature!

I couldn't agree more! Ideally, all project attachments could have an allocated folder in MS Teams/Sharepoint to collect the documents/projects. We are looking for a project management tool where we can store files to make life easier. Cheers!
Thanks for the quick reply. Any roadmap? We are in process of decision making to use MS project with combination of Teams. But we are not going to pay for a product that is still not better than MS planner which is free.
I can not believe we pay for less functionality like the Planner does, which require no licensing. Any update on this one?
Worked this out...
1. Create a new solution and add the Project entities to it.
2. Save a copy of the default form.
3. Open this form in the Classic editor.
4. Click Form Properties, Display and select Show navigation items.
I can enable SharePoint document storage for the Project entity in the CDS, and the Projects library gets created in the SharePoint site, but there is no related tab in the Project tab in the app nor does there seem to be a way to add one.
If I add a custom entity (e.g. Programs), the related tab does appear and I can upload documents specific to the item and these get stored in the corresponding SharePoint doc library.
If I attach a document to a Project via Notes (CDS Timeline) it does not appear in the corresponding SharePoint doc library for Projects.
Add the function to attach files to all kinds of tasks. This function exist in Planner and are a basic feature and most to add any kind of document needed associated to a main-/sub task. And also a function here in user voice :-). Thanks

Hi Fabrizio - there's an established request already for this ask so better to remove this one and upvote the other: https://microsoftproject.uservoice.com/forums/914203-project-for-the-web/suggestions/38929375-project-for-the-web-add-existing-planner-capabili
Include integration to OneDrive for files related to projects.
