Love the current vision for roadmaps as it was presented at Ignite 2018. It would be great to see more integration. Efforts as soon as the tool matures and people start working with it.
For instance, besides Azure Boards, Planner and project online/new project service. It would be great to get a connection with Jira.
In The Netherlands this tool is almost always available in IT departments for clients I visit. And there is a real need to get a overview on all Project and agile efforts across the organization.

We would love to learn more about this suggestion. What types of Jira projects are you expecting to connect? What type of Jira issues would you want to bring in? What interactions would you expect with the Jira connection in Roadmap?
Any comments and suggestions here would be helpful for us to better understand this scenario.
Project is not allowing a project to include more than 500 project tasks. There does not seem to be published documentation of a limit to the number of tasks.87 votes
I'm at a conference, and customers are interested in Project for the web. However, they are adamant that it have both (a) templates for starting projects, and (b) the ability to copy an existing project to a new one. With those features, they may be interested in trying it.87 votes
You can now access “Copy Project” by going into a project, clicking on the title to open the details pane, hitting the “…” in the top corner, and then the Copy command.
You can learn more about Copy Project and get Tips & Tricks here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project-blog/copying-projects-in-project-for-the-web/ba-p/1477766

Common provision in project management solutions , is to just get them quickly started. And some of them have really meaningful usage and get us started. This is something i have seen Microsoft provide in various apps, so can project for web also add it?86 votes
As a project manager I work with my crew of 15-20 folks. We use MS teams and office 265 for all our collaboration purpose and documentation within our company. I recently learnt about Microsoft new project management app on teams. Its good to see it being simple, but its just not ready for teams. When we have feature crew working together it becomes hard to understand changes happening and the changes just become slow to reflect. Can this be fixed?
I have seen similar slowness in PowerPoint, however excel looks great in this regard.80 votes
Maybe I missed it, but where does one see his assignments and can report upon completion (like My Tasks/Timesheet in Project)?80 votes
Hi everyone! Thank you for the feedback. We are planning on adding a feature to support this scenario. We will keep you updated!
Develop connectors for automating creation of new projects, new tasks, update and assign to team members using Power Automate. Currently the connectors for Project are dependent on a PWA root site.78 votes
Hi there! You can use the “CDS Connector” in Power Automate to access the Project for the Web entities. They are only read-access right now.
You can look at examples here: https://github.com/OfficeDev/Project-Dynamics-Issues
Hope this helps!
If you accidentally delete a project, or if a person maliciously deletes projects (e.g. rogue employee), you MUST have the ability to restore a project or multiple projects. In addition, if a person accidentally or maliciously destroys a project, you MUST also have the ability to restore it as of a given date & time.
Please, make it so.77 votes
We need the ability to add attachments to a task/subtask and a project in general. Same functionality as in Planner. Ideally we can add attachments from anywhere in SharePoint across multiple teams.
Thanks so much for your feedback. I’m happy to announce you can now add attachments to your tasks in Project!
You can use this new feature by opening your task details in Project. The add attachment button is available at the bottom of that pane.
Please let us know what you think of this new feature!
In the new Project add the ability to filter by task, by resource or by date74 votes
You might have noticed that you can filter by string on the Grid view. You can now filter on task names and assignees (check the top right corner of your projects!)
I’m marking this as partially complete, as I know there were many other asks here. Please continue sharing your needs and scenarios around filtering.
Currently, once the Project Online task is added to the "Row" on Project Roadmap, only the following Status values can be displayed:
a) Not set
b) On track
c) At risk
d) High risk
In addition, Project Roadmap should give users the choice to pull in task status values from Project Online. (On schedule, Late, Future Task, Inactive, Complete)72 votes
Roadmap needs ability to add rows for proposed projects. Currently way to do this, requires me to create a dummy project and published.66 votes
Thanks for the suggestion. We’d love to understand more around this scenario.
Would you be adding tasks and milestones? Do you ever expect to connect this row to a project, or create a project? What happens after the proposal state to the row? Why else would you be creating blank rows and tasks? Would you have a roadmap with both types of rows?…
The comments below are very helpful already, so please keep them coming! We want to better understand why customers need this scenario fulfilled.
When adding items to a row, Roadmap does not allow adding project summary row. This would be good feature because Roadmap can show start and end of project.66 votes
Hi all -
You can now add the PWA project summary task in the Roadmap UI and its dates will stay updated. Note that this works with only new PWA connections to Roadmap.
Thanks for the feedback!
The date format (e.g. dd-mm-yyyy instead of mm-dd-yyyy) set in the general preferences should also be valid for the dates set for tasks within Project. From what I can see the date format for tasks are always mm-dd-yyyy which is annoying.65 votes
Currently everyone that has access to a roadmap can modify everything. Normally one would use a roadmap also to provide information to stakeholders. These shouldn't be able to modify the roadmap. Therefore read-only permissions would be helpful.64 votes
We just announced that anyone with an O365 license or Plan 1 license will soon be able to access Roadmaps in read only. You can learn more here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=60646
Regarding the other scenario in this thread (re: everyone that has access to a roadmap can modify everything), we are still thinking about this and similar scenarios, so please keep sharing your feedback and experiences!
Changing Project Manager should also change/sync to the Owner field.
Did a security review video that explains in details what is currently happening to showcase why an update on Project for the web security features are highly needed for larger organizations:61 votes
It would help integration scenarios tremendously if the the Project for the Web REST API (e.g. "https://project.microsoft.com/pss/api/v1.0/projects") could be documented and rendered more accessible by providing samples. One scenario that would be fitting is the creation and update of tasks triggered by another tool/event.60 votes

Project for the Web Custom Fields and PowerBI: As I develop the enterprise portfolio of projects for my institution, it is important that I allow project managers to use their tool of choice (i.e. MS Project within a Project Online environment for the more experienced PM and Project for the Web for the less experienced PM). There are some strategic projects that do not require the power of MS Project. However, they should be included in the portfolio for reporting purposes. Ultimately, the portfolio would be dynamic if we were using PowerBI and a flag would be used to determine which projects should be included.
