I'd like the ability to export or print a roadmap to PDF to make it easier to share for status reporting with non-Project users.52 votes
Hi everyone! Thanks for the feedback again.
I’ve broken this down into two general scenario requests and have some more questions.
Scenario 1) I want to share my Roadmap with a stakeholder but I don’t want them to have editing capabilities, or they might not even have a Project license. Follow ups – is this RO stakeholder a part of the team/group in the Roadmap?
Scenario 2) I want to export or print to share or present the Roadmap with (possibly outside) stakeholders (whether this is in PPT presentation or a physical printout). Follow ups – why not screenshot the view and put it in PPT or then print?
Thanks for your inputs!! We’re listening and thinking hard about your scenarios.
Add a connector in Teams to lez us show a roamap as a tab in a teams channel37 votes
Thanks for the suggestion. We’d love to learn more about your scenarios of using Roadmap with Teams from you and others! (Ex. What would you expect to do in the Roadmap from Teams?). Any comments and responses around this topic are extremely helpful to us.
For now, a temporary solution is to add the URL of a Roadmap as a “Website” in Teams.
Love the current vision for roadmaps as it was presented at Ignite 2018. It would be great to see more integration. Efforts as soon as the tool matures and people start working with it.
For instance, besides Azure Boards, Planner and project online/new project service. It would be great to get a connection with Jira.
In The Netherlands this tool is almost always available in IT departments for clients I visit. And there is a real need to get a overview on all Project and agile efforts across the organization.

We would love to learn more about this suggestion. What types of Jira projects are you expecting to connect? What type of Jira issues would you want to bring in? What interactions would you expect with the Jira connection in Roadmap?
Any comments and suggestions here would be helpful for us to better understand this scenario.
Roadmap needs ability to add rows for proposed projects. Currently way to do this, requires me to create a dummy project and published.30 votes
Thanks for the suggestion. We’d love to understand more around this scenario.
Would you be adding tasks and milestones? Do you ever expect to connect this row to a project, or create a project? What happens after the proposal state to the row? Why else would you be creating blank rows and tasks? Would you have a roadmap with both types of rows?…
The comments below are very helpful already, so please keep them coming! We want to better understand why customers need this scenario fulfilled.
Project Roadmap allows portfolio managers to bring in key tasks from Azure Boards and Projects in PWA.
Planner is used for small, ongoing projects. Please include support to add tasks from Planner to Roadmap as this gives Portfolio managers a better view of all key information in a single screen19 votes
We’d love to hear more about using Planner in Roadmap. Would you connect multiple Plans together in one Roadmap? As a portfolio manager, would you bring in both Planner tasks and Project tasks in one Roadmap? What type of Planner tasks would you bring into this view? What else would you expect?
Please share any details and feedback around this – we love hearing your thoughts!
This may have been covered somewhere else, but it would be nice to interact with a Project task with threaded comments, a way to link to a SharePoint online document rather than attaching a document, @mentions in task comments, #hashtags for tagging projects with attributes, tying into the Outlook calendar for resourcing (i.e. if someone's calendar is marked Out of Office that the resource calendar picks that up (maybe this is already the case), ability to set reminders on tasks based on certain criteria, conditional formatting. I don't mean to mention other products here, but a mashup between how Smarsheet and Wrike works would be ideal. We've hesitated with using Project because it's been so cumbersome, but maybe with some of these new features being rolled out we can get back to Project and Azure Boards with the Roadmap features to roll things up. We just need Project to be more collaborative with how we interact with tasks.

This is wonderful feedback, and a direction we are planning/headed in. We’d love more details from you and others to see what type of interactive capabilities are most crucial to see to be more successful with Project.
Thanks for sharing, feel free to ad more comments as they come up.
The tiles under Create New Project are for all EPTs and methods - including ones our organization cannot support & that cause data to be created and stored outside of our enterprise resource environment.
Please allow configuration of the tiles that appear under Create New, or at the least allow EPTs to be deactivated in PWA.12 votes
Thanks for the suggestion. It looks like you are using a custom pwa site and the create new project button is redirecting users to the default pwa site which has some epts present.
If that is the case, we are providing support for non-default sites and with that this problem should go away.
Do let us know more on this?
