We’re looking into this to understand your specific scenario and why this is happening. Thanks for bringing this up with us!
Terminal Server and Citrix server setups have been an issue for a long time. I've previously struggled with Citrix the most. The situation would be that Project would reside in a certain bubble (I don't know the technical term here) and Excel would be in a different bubble. Then, if I wanted to create a visual report WinProj would not be able to locate Excel. The only way to create that report would be by creating a Cub file and then opening the Cub file with the Excel Report templates.
I can imagine it's a similar situation here with Planner, Project and Terminal Server.
How would you want to give tasks different colors? Would you want to choose this yourself, or would you want it to be programmatic?
Thanks for the suggestion – we’ve been investigating it a little, but would love to hear your thoughts on what you’d expect/want from this!
I also like this idea a lot, however: In my opinion the colors should be linked to a status or other field. If the colors are completely random this would be a big issue (like it is on Gantt charts). The colors should be chosen by using a real thought process instead of just "oh let's make Dave's tasks red".
Thanks for this suggestion. Please keep sharing what level of zoom you use Roadmaps for!
Here are some questions that can spark discussion in the comments that can help us build the right scenarios into Roadmap:
What duration do you use the Roadmap (1 quarter, 1 year, 5 years…etc)? What type of work are you tracking to use this time period? Would you use multiple views or stay on one – and why?
Thanks everyone, looking forward to reading comments and discussions in this topic!
Thanks for the suggestion. We’d love to learn more about your scenarios of using Roadmap with Teams from you and others! (Ex. What would you expect to do in the Roadmap from Teams?). Any comments and responses around this topic are extremely helpful to us.
For now, a temporary solution is to add the URL of a Roadmap as a “Website” in Teams.
Hi all -
We’re planning on bringing our boards online – but we want to make sure we do it the right way for you all. We started this in the Client, and we’ll be using feedback on the Client boards features to help bring the boards to Project Online.
Please continue leaving feedback on the Project Client boards, and we’ll let you know when this feature is available online!
Thanks for the suggestion. It looks like you are using a custom pwa site and the create new project button is redirecting users to the default pwa site which has some epts present.
If that is the case, we are providing support for non-default sites and with that this problem should go away.
Do let us know more on this?
We would love to learn more about this suggestion. What types of Jira projects are you expecting to connect? What type of Jira issues would you want to bring in? What interactions would you expect with the Jira connection in Roadmap?
Any comments and suggestions here would be helpful for us to better understand this scenario.

Would be a very usefull addition! (third party tools are costly solutions for PO users)
