There are some really good ideas below. From a user experience perspective with the advent of teams the best case scenario I can think of is allowing all of the project team work to occur through Teams (Communication, documentation, task completion/updating, time carding, etc.) and the project and portfolio management tasks like reporting, overall scheduling, and resource management being done centrally through PWA that require a broader view of the rest of the work going on in the environment. It would also be useful if at the end of a project the content that only exists in Teams (like chat content and any video calls recorded etc, could get archived with the project site.) In essence the team would replace the traditional project site.

        Hi all -

We’re planning on bringing our boards online – but we want to make sure we do it the right way for you all. We started this in the Client, and we’ll be using feedback on the Client boards features to help bring the boards to Project Online.

Please continue leaving feedback on the Project Client boards, and we’ll let you know when this feature is available online!

We put in a request to push greater integration between Project Online and Planner because we have groups that use the visual method of managing their work through planner. The ability for these same groups to use PWA natively would be a huge benefit for us and may reduce the need for Planner to PWA and PWA to Planner integration.

We have a similar challenge where some of the resource groups have work packages of their own that they need to track, and which we need visibility to from within Project Online (our resource planning tool). The data driven interface of project online is not useful to them, the cards driven interface is much easier to comprehend. However, ultimately they will have to double enter information if a strong link is not established between the two, or a card style interface is not developed for project online specifically, to ensure the resource usage and completion status are correct in both places.
