This is very important. At the same time, it will be critical to improve the To-Do application so that you can do more than just simply status the activity as complete. In To-Do, you need a simple 25/50/100% slider or something and/or remaining effort to help a user indicate to a PM how much work has been done and is remaining. Of course, actual 2-way integration between Project and To-Do is important as well.

Mandatory functionality for anything that wants to call itself "enterprise class."

Hi everyone!
Thanks for the feedback on baselines. I’d love to hear more, and get a discussion going to understand the needs and usage here.
What’s the most important set of information in a baseline? How often do you take baselines? How often do you compare baselines?
For those of you who have not previously used the desktop client or Project Online, how have you been tracking baselines on your projects?
Thanks!

Hi everyone!
I’m updating this to “partially complete” as we have finished rolling out the “Copy Project” feature. You can access this by opening a project, clicking on the title to open the details pane, hitting the “…” in the top corner, and then the Copy command.
You can get more details, tips and tricks here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project-blog/copying-projects-in-project-for-the-web/ba-p/1477766
We’re still thinking about the specific templates scenario and reading your comments below. Please try the feature out and let us know what other feedback/improvements can be made.

The beauty of a template is that it is "fixed" and can't be accidentally altered. It is a special type of project, and one that you can always trust is clean and good. "Copy project" is important too. So, it is a good starting point. Iteration 1 = Copy project. Iteration 2 = Template. How about that?

Just like with Project Professional / Project Online, it is interesting that you can pick a "canned" template that Microsoft provides, but more importantly is that I MUST be able to pick a template that I (or my organization) has defined for the work that we do. I must be able to pick from one or more of these templates.

You can now create local custom fields for your tasks!
Under the “Add Column” button in the grid, you’ll find a new menu option to create a New Field. Click it!
- Add dates, numbers, text, and flags to help you organize your work
-Filter tasks by the contents of your fields
-If you have limited screen real estate, edit the values for fields in the task details paneLearn more here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project-blog/announcing-custom-fields-for-your-tasks/ba-p/1680549

Look at the way Project Online works. Replicate that in Project for the web. Allow the creation of custom fields at the project, task, and resource levels. CRITICAL functionality. Further, values should be calculated, limited to a set of options (e.g. a pull-down), or user-entered. Again, Project Online is doing this VERY WELL, and there's no need to reinvent a great idea. Just replicate it and make it better.

Hi all -
You can now add the PWA project summary task in the Roadmap UI and its dates will stay updated. Note that this works with only new PWA connections to Roadmap.
Thanks for the feedback!

Hi everyone!
Thank you for your feedback. For now, you can use an API through Powershell to import .mpp files in Project for the web. You can learn more here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project-blog/import-project-desktop-files-to-project-for-the-web-api/ba-p/2031298
We are also looking into other ways to support import. Stay tuned for future updates.
