    Hi everyone!

There are a lot of asks in this thread, and I wanted to assure you we are looking at all of them. As an update, I wanted to share what items are “planned” in the shorter term. This includes Teams Integration, Attachments, Notifications, Group By “Assigned To”. We are also “in development” for Custom Fields- which will allow you to create a Priority field. Other asks on this thread are a bit farther out to share details on, so don’t worry – we are evaluating everything you’re asking for!

Please continue to share your feedback!

This needs a complete rethink - the frustration I have now where I'm trying to use Planner and Project is driving me to now want to use either. I have multiple small projects in planner that could use the functionality in Project 1. However because of the following I'm considering ditching both:
    1) I can't migrate a project from Planner to Project
    2) Project 1 doesn't have the Planner functionality

I was excited that Project 1 was being released, and have touted this to multiple colleagues, however it's now dead in the water for me due to the lack of functionality and lack of interoperability with other 365 elements (Planner/Teams/Sharepoint etc).

The ideal situation for me would be that the Project 1 elements were a bolted on (paid for if you must) enhancement to Planner, providing a greater level of control and planning capability:
    - Gantt
    - List
    - Roadmap
    - Dependencies

Why this wasn't the first vision for this is testament to the disconnection between the Planner and Project teams in MS

Project 1 should be planner + gantt, resourcing & roadmaps. Anything less and there's little point, especially as you're looking at a solution to promote a Plan to a Project - where does that extra info go? does it get lost?

Project 1 should really just be Planner with Gantt, resourcing and roadmaps.

Why there's a lack of fundamental Planner features in this new program baffles me.

Hi everyone – thanks for the feedback so far. In regards to Planner & Project for the web, we are definitely listening to these scenarios and thinking about how to improve them!

Would helping import from Planner to Project be helpful in this case, and enabling teams to work in Project?

I read a lot of comments on making sure we can leverage full Planner capabilities in Project, team members being able to see and complete their task, and not wanting to “re-write” and “move” tasks over. Are these the most important scenarios for us when thinking about this area?

I think you've missed a trick here with Project 1. Most of what's being asked for is achievable with a better version of P1 that has all the light project functionality and full functionality of Planner.

    Hi all!

Thanks for the suggestion. We’d love to understand more around this scenario.

Would you be adding tasks and milestones? Do you ever expect to connect this row to a project, or create a project? What happens after the proposal state to the row? Why else would you be creating blank rows and tasks? Would you have a roadmap with both types of rows?…

The comments below are very helpful already, so please keep them coming! We want to better understand why customers need this scenario fulfilled.

Echoing what's been said, need to add tasks and milestones to draft and lightweight projects that can then novate to full programmes if accepted/grow big enough to warrant it. Also need to filter to specific tasks and categories of project to allow portfolio and contextual views during review sessions.

You should be able to add key dates from this view for specific projects

We would use this. We have currently 3 departments with 46 projects as follows:
    - 15no full Gantt driven
    - 7no draft proposals
    - 24no light (top level milestone driven)

Roadmaps are great, but only for the 15 Gantt chart driven ones, the remainder need to also be included but we also need a departmental resource assigned to each to allow us to highlight where there is a clash of resource demand.

We also need to zoom out further - when you've a project map of 3 years you need to be able to see all, not just circa 10 months.

    Hi all!

We appreciate the feedback and understanding your scenarios! As we plan/develop this, we would appreciate continuing detail on how you would use this, where you would use this (row level/item level), and how this would benefit you.

Thanks again to our Uservoice community!

yes! and images - this is a dry view currently that doesn't allow a rich review of our portfolio

    Hi all!

We’d love to hear more about using Planner in Roadmap. Would you connect multiple Plans together in one Roadmap? As a portfolio manager, would you bring in both Planner tasks and Project tasks in one Roadmap? What type of Planner tasks would you bring into this view? What else would you expect?

Please share any details and feedback around this – we love hearing your thoughts!

You can now create local custom fields for your tasks!

Under the “Add Column” button in the grid, you’ll find a new menu option to create a New Field. Click it!

    - Add dates, numbers, text, and flags to help you organize your work
-Filter tasks by the contents of your fields
-If you have limited screen real estate, edit the values for fields in the task details pane

I'll add that the roadmap needs more narrative - I'm looking to move our Excel-based NPI roadmap to this platform and it's not useful without a description of the project and ideally an image too to allow us to review with stakeholders

    Hi everyone!

This is something we’re thinking about – but we’d love more feedback from you.

Can you share specific scenarios that you need for resourcing? What information do you need to be successful? What actions do you take as a result of this information?

Please share detailed scenarios for us to understand what you need, this will be very helpful to us as we improve Project!

Simple RM would be ideal - for both assigned people/accounts and free text to allow us to allocate and see resources as departments.

Critically we need to see how our portfolio hits the business, and where we've a number of resource issues across our roadmap to allow us to prioritise accortingly.

    Hi everyone!

Today, we added improved Roadmap zooming! If you go to your Roadmap, you’ll be able to zoom out to multiple stops and views, and as far out as 6 years!

Thank you for everyone who shared their feedback and scenarios – please let us know what you think.
