Why only on tasks with no assignments? I have an existing project and duration and effort are still linked for tasks assigned, but I'd like to be able to now update effort without changing the start and finish dates.

    Hi everyone!

This is something we’re thinking about – but we’d love more feedback from you.

Can you share specific scenarios that you need for resourcing? What information do you need to be successful? What actions do you take as a result of this information?

Please share detailed scenarios for us to understand what you need, this will be very helpful to us as we improve Project!

With the resource planning improvements, for Professional Services firms it would be great to be able to assign a charge out rate (per day and per hour) for every resource and for generic resources, and also assign an internal cost for each resource, including generic resources, both hourly and day rate. This would enhance financials and profitability analysis.... and the value of Project for the Web!

    Hi everyone!

You can now access “Copy Project” by going into a project, clicking on the title to open the details pane, hitting the “…” in the top corner, and then the Copy command.

You can learn more about Copy Project and get Tips & Tricks here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project-blog/copying-projects-in-project-for-the-web/ba-p/1477766

Please let us know what you think and continue to share your feedback with us!

The last admin post was over two months ago, is there a new update and planned date?

I agree with previous users, this has been false advertising by Microsoft to claim integration between Project for the Web and Teams. It makes total sense to plan a project in Project for the Web or Project Online and for the assigned tasks to show in Planner for the assignees to work the task and to enable bi-directional updates (eg progress) but to constrain some elements like Finish Date.

    Hi everyone!

Thanks for the feedback on baselines. I’d love to hear more, and get a discussion going to understand the needs and usage here.

What’s the most important set of information in a baseline? How often do you take baselines? How often do you compare baselines?

For those of you who have not previously used the desktop client or Project Online, how have you been tracking baselines on your projects?

    Thanks!

Hi everyone – thanks for the feedback so far. In regards to Planner & Project for the web, we are definitely listening to these scenarios and thinking about how to improve them!

Would helping import from Planner to Project be helpful in this case, and enabling teams to work in Project?

I read a lot of comments on making sure we can leverage full Planner capabilities in Project, team members being able to see and complete their task, and not wanting to “re-write” and “move” tasks over. Are these the most important scenarios for us when thinking about this area?

    Hi everyone!

I’m updating this to “partially complete” as we have finished rolling out the “Copy Project” feature. You can access this by opening a project, clicking on the title to open the details pane, hitting the “…” in the top corner, and then the Copy command.

You can get more details, tips and tricks here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project-blog/copying-projects-in-project-for-the-web/ba-p/1477766

We’re still thinking about the specific templates scenario and reading your comments below. Please try the feature out and let us know what other feedback/improvements can be made.
